VARESE
The Province of Varese confines to North and to east With Switzerland (canton Ticino), to East with the Province of como, to South with the province of Milan and to West with Piemonte (provinces of Novara and Verbano Cusio Ossola). It was instituted on the 2 January 1927 uniting commons already belonged to the provinces of Como and Milan.
Geography
On the geographical map the province has vertical shape, with two great “peninsulas”, the one of Saronnese at south-east between the provinces of Como and Milan and the second mountainous one of the Valley of Veddasca at north, at the border with Switzerland.
How to arrive:
By car - Varese is linked with Milan through the motorway A8. Numerous are also the state and provincial roads which link the city with the other zone of Lombardy.
