The Province of
Lodi was instituted in 1992 with 92 commons came off from the province of
Milano. It confines to North with the province of
Milano, to East with the province of
Cremona, to South with the
Emilia Romagna (province of
Piacenza), and to West with the province of
Pavia.
Geography
The province of
Lodi presents a plainly territory ploughed to west by the
Adda river and to east by the
Lambro. The province of
Lodi has a strong agricultural connotation also thanks the exploitation of its borders which guarantee a constant fertility to the lands. In 1983 the Lombardy Region instituted the natural Park South
Adda with the task of protect the river and the whole territory.
How to arrive:
By car - From the city is easy reaching the motorway A1 through the S.S. n. 235. The Emilia road (S.S. n. 9) crosses Lodi linking it to Milan towards north-west, and to Piacenza towards south-east.

By airplane - The extremely nearness with Milan makes particularly suitable to the arriving to Lodi The two airports of Milan: Linate and Malpensa.
